Bill Wagner
Music Director

Mr. Wagner joined the faculty at Nordhoff High School in August 1988.


Mr. Wagner is married to Anna Cho Wagner. They were married at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Santa Rosa on May 30, 2010 in Sonoma County. They are proud parents of Charlotte who was born on July 30, 2011 and is currently attending Mira Monte Elementary School.

Jr. High & High School

Mr. Wagner grew up in Hollywood and attended Le Conte Jr. High School and Hollywood High School. He played trumpet in the concert band, jazz band and marching band, pit orchestra and was drum major his senior year.


After two years at California Lutheran College, Mr. Wagner transferred and graduated from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, in Oberlin, Ohio with a Bachelor degree in Trumpet Performance and Masters degree in Music Education. After working four years organizing events with International Music Festivals in Richland, Michigan, he returned to California to pursue his career in teaching.

Directing Experience

In addition to directing the high school and jr. high ensembles and high school musicals, Mr. Wagner has also directed the following local ensembles:

Along with a thorough knowledge of all wind and strings instruments, Mr. Wagner plays trumpet, piano and sings baritone/bass.. He has been involved in numerous ensembles, including:
